Someone has a sweetspot for difficulty?
I tried adept and expert. This is a x3.0 modifier on enemy damage. you on the other hand only deal 0.6 of the normal damage. The damage you do is ok, but the enemy damage is insane.

Downloaded this mod, but even master (100) feels a little easy. Anyone found a sweet spot? Does Expert get easier when you level or not?

nah man been trying everything. I recommend uninstalling and refunding if you can. Otherwise just dont touch anything bethesda ever does again because it WILL be the same garbage design.

I wish i knew before i sunk 10 hours trying to get it working even meagerly.

Welcome to gaming in 2025.

Oblivion never was a game known for it's difficulty though. It's pretty casual friendly. I just don't want to steam through it on Adept. That's the reason of this post.

this is what happens when you remaster a jank ass game from the mid 2000's without actually fixing any of its problems.

yes and i am telling you there is no inbetween, there is no balance, there is no enjoyment. Uninstall and run away as fast as you can with your $50 and never look at Bethesda again.

More salt pls.
Expert feels fine to me, master is completely overdone and should not be selectable as a new character. It should be locked to level 10-15+.

go on nexus download a mod it fixes difficulity gap idk why so many people dont use mods for games it fixes alot of things that devs never did the gap between adept and expert on vanilla game is ridicilous its either impossibly hard or way too damn easy but the mod fix the issue now i can play on master while being actually difficult but doable without cheesing

Vanilla:
DifficultyDamage TakenDamage Dealt
Novice x0.2 x5.0
Apprenticex0.6 x3.0
Adept x1.0 x1.0
Expertx3.0 x0.6
Master x5.0x0.2

Modded: (50 version)
DifficultyDamage TakenDamage Dealt
Novice x0.67 x1.5
Apprenticex0.83 x1.25
Adept x1.0 x1.0
Expertx1.25 x0.83
Master x1.5x0.67

Modded: (100 version)
DifficultyDamage TakenDamage Dealt
Novice x0.5 x2.0
Apprenticex0.75 x1.5
Adept x1.0 x1.0
Expertx1.5 x0.75
Master x2.0x0.5

i use the 100 version basically means you take 2x more damage and do 50% less wich seems the sweet spot

Mate what are you even doing on this forum? i've only seen you tell people to uninstall, refund and not play it. Just don't play it and leave? Do you have nothing to do in life than to tell everyone you shouldn't play this game? Are you a sad kid?

As Deviant said your best bet is mods. I had to run combat mods on the original oblivion, so here's hoping the community gets some good ones up for the remaster.
