Oblivion Remastered enemy level scaling
I'm interested in whether they fixed the problem of endless lvl pumping of enemies? in the original game on high character levels even a regular rat was a damage sponge.
I wonder if anyone has managed to check this?

I remember when i tried to beat a rat in the original right in the start at the hardest setting fresh off with a fist fight, did not end well. I've seen though that you can allocate stats freely now upon level, at least from what they showed so you dont get pigeon holed into training certain skills to keep up
Enemy scaling is the same as Original Game.

because there is nothing to fix...

There was nothing to fix. It works exactly like they wanted it to. Leveling system on the other hand was something even they confirmed was messed up, so they updated it.

Except the Abomb animation glitch tied to a small error in the engine, and other stuff like occational quest bugs. But that error tied to gameplay time shouldve been fixed most likely

in my opinion, endlessly leveling opponents are no less of a problem

Yeah, that was my only let down in Oblivion.

Nehrim (a Total Conversion of Oblivion) used fixed levels for their mobs, so you really were able to feel the progress.

But if enemies level with you, the whole purpose of leveling up is rather moot. :wellok:

He said "There is nothing to fix" regarding level scaling. Of course there is lot to fix in Oblivion, or they could do it in 1 minute and just release unofficial patches to all platforms.

Daggerfall had level scaling, Morrowind had level scaling and Skyrim has level scaling. It's just part of TES. Also, only some enemies scale in Oblivion. Funny how many fail to mention that.

There's already mods for this.

Yeah, I remember all the 'bandits' in glass armour when you get to higher levels. It breaks the idea of actually getting more powerful because even the lowliest of enemies are still a threat.

exactly!! you can immediately see a person who understands what I'm talking about! even in skyrim they eventually made fixed levels for enemies. It's very sad that they didn't fix the main problem of oblivion

Level scaling isn't a big issue since they left all of the cheese in the game. A lot of ways to just decimate enemies.
