Finally get to play Oblivion after years of everyone saying its better than Skyrim and I have to say

I do like how overhearing conversations unlocks new conversation options you can have with certain people.

Also Oblivion has dodging when you upgrade Acrobatics.

I’ve only ever played oblivion (original) like 20 hours total since it came out but I still think it’s better than Skyrim. I prefer having an actual class system and role playing options in my RPG’s. I’m hoping to finally beat oblivion now that this version is out.

What exactly in Skyrim is better? Oblivion now has better combat, it has better story, better quests and guilds, more weapon types, more armor parts, spell making, underwater exploration/combat, attributes, classes, actual roleplaying, and on and on it goes.

Depends on the exact mechanics you mean, but the spells system is hands down better. Making your own spell is amazing.

I always wanted to get into oblivion but never could for some reason back in the day. But with this remaster it is giving me a lot of enjoyment and brings me back to when I first played morrowind. I think what I missed was the old Bethesda magic touch they used to have.

Obivion has the better quests, better lore, better characters, better world and better RPG mechanics.

Skyrim has a talent tree.

I'll pick Oblivion IMMEDIATELY over Skyrim.
