How do you like to start the game?

How about a thread about the start of the game!

How did you start the game? Your class, your sign, are you experincing it as intended? (This is what I am going to do personally) or are you going in with a plan to b-line to some strong early game meta build and exploits?

Let's talk about how you early game! Maybe even some character screenshots if anyone has som funny of good ones

Personally I went Brenton, got that magic resist, picked up starsign the lord for more, and I made a custom class for mage in heavy armor. Idk just wanted to make a tank looking mage no real plans though myself.

I play as a Breton that is weak against Magic, but is a spellcaster build himself. I never played Oblivion mainly as a spellcaster, so this will be fun.

I forgot it takes 70-90 hours of continuous running/swimming to get Athletics up, so I stopped levelling, rush through the Mage Guild recommendations to get access to the University, get a custom spell to drain Athletics 100 points for 1 second before talking to an Athletics trainer, get my 5 levels, and only THEN level up to repeat the process.

After that, i'll b-line for the Skeleton Key, considering the increased difficulty of the lockpicking game is too much for me to enjoy.

The lock picking is for sure something in this game xD at least the skeleton key feels good to have though lol

I normally play as Dark Elf but the faces of Elves are so terrible that I went with my second best, Nord.
Nord, Eastern Skyrim, custom class.
The way I usually play TES games is to start the main quest and get to a certain point where I unlock a bed to sleep. After that I just go exploring.
Always loved roaming around. Dvemer Ruins in Morrowind, Ayleid Ruins in Cyrodiil, Nordic Tombs in Skyrim.
Wandering around was always more interesting for me than tye main quest. :D

Well, first I pick my body type, and then I pick my race depending on what racist modifier I want.

Always Atronach birth sign, beyond that depends on what build I'm going for, usually going to be something with high starting Endurance. This time around I'm going with a Nord Warrior.

More important than what class/race I pick is my personal RP backstory. Why was I in jail, what do I think about getting this task from the Emperor. This time round I went for a reluctant hero, someone who was i jail because they deserved to be and who has little interest in helping but who sees an opportunity to maybe gain some influential friends if I play along, at least for a while.

I usually start the game, pressing "play" button on Steam.

I started as a Breton Spellblade with the Mage sign. I could probably go a lot more meta, but I honestly never use the daily spell bonuses anyway.

I'm hoping to do something more interesting than just spam destruction spells, but we'll see how it goes.

Argonian Thief with Major skills of Destruction, Conjuration, Alchemy, Security, Speechcraft, Light Armor, Blade. I've never been a big min maxer when it comes to the older elderscrolls game that was never fun for me.

The main quest line I've never actually gone though I might try that this play through but for the time being I've been working through the Fighters and Mages Guild quest lines so far. Started in Cheydinhal and moved to Anvil.

I usually start the game, pressing "play" button on Steam.

Damn, I forgot that step.... but uh... I dont have an "any key" so I get stuck alot!

Who cares about meta! Have some fun! I missed the spell crafting of oblivion. I was gonna full conjuratuon and summon full armor cuz that was such a cool feature.
