Nexusmods alternatives?

So, the devs of this game made some very weird politically motivated changes. Some people don't like those changes, some people made mods to revert those changes, and nexusmods deletes those mods because they want mods to follow their politics, which is just absolutely ridiculous for a modding site.

Is there any solid alternative to nexusmods? because with how they're losing themselves with the censorship it kinda needs to be replaced.

Speaking very neutrally on the subject, I do wonder why Nexusmods would have a problem with this. I have seen mods on their site that add pornographic features to games. Or the ability to slaughter children in games that normally don't allow it. If a person wants to change a word in their own singleplayer game, it doesn't really mean anything to me. I'm not about to download that mod, but it sounds like one of the least offensive ones that could be published there.

Because every mod published so far in regards to restoring male and female from the original game has been done in bad faith or in an attempt to instigate conflict via description and/or thumbnail image.

DEG mods is very active and expanding a lot. I haven't used it yet but they are constantly reaching out to creators when they hear nexus banned something.

Not true, if this was the case they would delist it, and ask the author to fix the inflammatory stuff in their description or images, then relist it after. It's just stupid politics, and everyone gets caught in the middle somehow.

Yeah degmods looks best of them, basedmods is complete ass, you cannot search for mods or games, it's a nightmare to navigate that site, it's clearly just meant to be a dump for mods that get censored elsewhere and not a real modding site.

the only problem with degmods however is that they have leaned a bit too heavily into trying to make the site look good at the cost of performance, it's laggy.

The guy who owns Nexus got into a relationship with a very liberal woman. Things changed fast after that, and snowballed into what we have today a few years back. Now anything that goes against that ideology is quickly banned.

Double standards abound, banning of mods and creators left and right, "don't like it, go somewhere else," etc...

DEGMods has lots of potential I hope they can get up and running and are able to attract modders.

DEGMods has to be a bit more proactive on scanning links and files though for viruses etc which i feel at this point in time is their big weak point. Also they need to get pro active in making their site known so they can actually attract some of the modder on nexus to also post their mods on DEG or even better get them to completely ditch nexus.

It's time Nexus died in a fire since, and this is a shame really tbh, they can't keep their Orwellian fingers out of politics and try to enforce their point of view on everyone and ban those that wont comply.....

Been time for that for a very long time, the re-release of oblivion just seems like it was the fire the modding community needed lit under it's ass to really start working towards it.
