The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered

I buy only with mods
Since none of the big games, which made Bathesda being a legend - could be enjoyed without mods (just think about the bottle glitches before the arena fight in Fallout 4 or the many quests in Skyrim ended broken), i am not buying this until mods are enabled and have become available. :steammocking:
Fair chance Skyblivion will not look as impressive as this one, but i am pretty sure that quests will function in Skyblivion. :steamhappy:

Therefore, i am keen learning here, if and how much any of you experienced broken quests in this one. Maybe i am wrong and all is fine, maybe???

You're welcome.

Link a platform that isn't run by activists that get triggered and ban mods that contain words like male and female.
you DO realize that the statement "no official mod support" simply states that we wont be getting a mod button on the main game and that the modding scene, (especially with the fact that its been discovered this is literally just the original oblivion with an unreal engine running the graphical side) is going to be just as big if not bigger than skyrim? we now have a modern day Elder Scrolls game that can actually handle large groups of enemies without dropping to 2 fps.

Im going to be very surprised if we dont start seeing a ton of old oblivion mods getting ported to the remaster once its discovered how.

Today I learned that six years ago the stone age ended.

There's still only types 1 and 2, though. There's still much to be done. :amadeus_happy:

I think its hilarious people want others to give up Vortex for one mod, that changes something that you see for 2 seconds and never again.

People aren't giving up their ez installer.

No official toolkits, no gurantees that load-orders work (or will work) the way that's theorised (no confirmed testing done yet from what I can tell that the load-orders in plugins.txt is upheld), are some of the concerns with 'no mod support'.

It's not just "hurr durr no mod support means no mods" literally any game can be modded (yes, even mmos, wow and runescape has a big modding scene), the question is just how much effort is required to do so (some games require extensive reverse engineering, other's do not), it's a concern that a studio, known for their embracing of mod support (which is half their brand on PC at this point), has an EULA stating they explictedly FORBID modding (which the other games do not have), while also offering 0 official mod support.

The optics here is, Bethesda is moving away from official mod-support in the future, so TES6 etc may not have moddability anymore, in favor of their Mtx storefront. So some people feel they need to draw a line in the sand.

And no, this is not a slippery slope, we saw this with Pre-order DLC, Mtx, Season Passes, Battle Passes, Buggy releases, price hikes (when promised lower prices going digital, prices increased instead), etc, etc. We've been here before. This is definitely a testing the waters of if they can get away with not providing mod support (which will turn into, dissallowing modding).
Thanks all. I added this one to my Wishlist - and will buy it once for A$30 in Sales.

@SKN The LISPer: Bethesda is meanwhile owned by Microsoft. Therefore, I am already positively surprised when their new games run on my Linux PC at all. :steamhappy: Once Bethesda aka Microsoft turn completely away from mods, their fate may depend on the technical quality of their games on release - which has not been Bethesda's stronghold so far. :steamfacepalm:
