You're welcome.
Link a platform that isn't run by activists that get triggered and ban mods that contain words like male and female.
Im going to be very surprised if we dont start seeing a ton of old oblivion mods getting ported to the remaster once its discovered how.
WAAAA they don't agree with my stone age beliefs weaaaaas.
There's still only types 1 and 2, though. There's still much to be done.
I think its hilarious people want others to give up Vortex for one mod, that changes something that you see for 2 seconds and never again.
People aren't giving up their ez installer.
No official toolkits, no gurantees that load-orders work (or will work) the way that's theorised (no confirmed testing done yet from what I can tell that the load-orders in plugins.txt is upheld), are some of the concerns with 'no mod support'.
It's not just "hurr durr no mod support means no mods" literally any game can be modded (yes, even mmos, wow and runescape has a big modding scene), the question is just how much effort is required to do so (some games require extensive reverse engineering, other's do not), it's a concern that a studio, known for their embracing of mod support (which is half their brand on PC at this point), has an EULA stating they explictedly FORBID modding (which the other games do not have), while also offering 0 official mod support.
The optics here is, Bethesda is moving away from official mod-support in the future, so TES6 etc may not have moddability anymore, in favor of their Mtx storefront. So some people feel they need to draw a line in the sand.
And no, this is not a slippery slope, we saw this with Pre-order DLC, Mtx, Season Passes, Battle Passes, Buggy releases, price hikes (when promised lower prices going digital, prices increased instead), etc, etc. We've been here before. This is definitely a testing the waters of if they can get away with not providing mod support (which will turn into, dissallowing modding).
@SKN The LISPer: Bethesda is meanwhile owned by Microsoft. Therefore, I am already positively surprised when their new games run on my Linux PC at all.
