Not sure what major skill to piock to go with combat spec? Blunt vs Blade

depends on what kind of weapons you want to use. Blade for swords and things, blunt for axes and stuff

Generally I go with Blade for 2 reasons:
Honorblade of Chorrol and Umbra, both of these are extremely strong, accessible at level 1 and most importantly: quest items so they neither degrade nor count toward your carry weight.

chose the major skills for what you will use the most, for me iam mostly a longsword user so i chose blades

you can still level blunt even if you didnt choose it as a major skill you just wont get the +20 from it and it wont level you up as fast

Blunt is great for quick kills, just shield bash and then smack them over the head with a mace.

I played the original very recently and there are so few unique blunt weapons compared to blade.

If you want to use a bunch of unique weapons go blade. If you like the look of blunt weapons more and don't mind enchanting them yourself then go ahead and pick blunt.
