Just to verify, do you have graphics drivers from November 2024 onward? In that, updating the graphics drivers have gotten some players with compatible GPUs past the DirectX 12 screen (and for at least one Nvidia user, going one month back. Where an AMD GPU user might be on November 2024 instead.)
What are the CPU and GPU specs of the laptop?
Barring this, would you be open to cloud gaming + do you have a decent to strong internet connection? There's the GeForce NOW service from Nvidia with Oblivion Remastered as one of the products. Though it is 10 USD a month for the tier that can run the game and your monthly limit is 100 hours unless you pay for more after hitting the cap.
(GeForce NOW would still need you to have the game in your Steam library to function, but within the scope of Oblivion Remastered, an option until new PC or other viable platform is possible.)
I don't think I do, I've had this laptop since 2023-ish and dont think it's a newer model. I have no idea how to check my GPU specs, but it has 4 CPU and it's a Windows 11 HP laptop with an 11th gen Intel core if that helps out any. I don't think I've heard of Cloud Gaming+ but I'm open to any and all ways to try and get this game to run, it was one of my first video games ever and I refuse to give up just yet.
"Intel(R) UHD Graphics" under Display adapters and Processors have"11th Gen Intel(R) Core(TM) i3-1115G4 @ 3.00GHz" four times
Aw man, thanks for letting me know
