Mod Request: Disable Natural Health Regeneration
Natural health regeneration is a huge deviation from the original's game-play, and it's incredibly fast like Call of Duty, as opposed to the slow regen Skyrim had. I miss the feeling of the original where you had to use restoration and/or potions often. Restoration feels useless with how fast the health regen is. Seems like this would be a simple mod. Any modders willing to give this a shot? I know a lot of OG Oblivion players like myself would appreciate it and download this!

Are you playing it on easy? On Master difficulty I don't have any health regen.

Get into a fight, kill the enemy, whilst out of combat your health will quickly refill to full

It was really dumb them to add regeneration. You could already wait 1 hour in Oblivion to fully restore yourself.

My man on NexusMods Forums helped us out. Not really a "mod" per se, but you can follow his instructions here and copy the script to disable health regen in your game! https://www.nexusmods.com/oblivionremastered/mods/421

it just makes it more convenient, in OG youd just wait an hour if you needed health out of combat

some of us like to play hardcore. I've even played Skyrim on the hardcore mode that disables health regen. My character is a mage, so restoration is useless with the default health regen rate. BTW, if you check the mod link I posted above on nexusforums, there is a lot of great info in that thread. You can actually customize health regen exactly how you want it, altering the rate, delay, whether it's in or out of combat, etc.

I might have been okay with Oblivion's health regen if it was slower like the Skyrim speed. I just don't think it's fair that you can enter an Oblivion gate with 0 potions and just be full health for every fight. Breaks immersion for me.

Oh, well that is still kind of overpowered since you could be getting health out of combat while enemies are nearby, which is not the same as oblivion at all. It does make the game easier, and pushes players to have a higher max hp pool to take advantage of it.
