For those Crashing on Startup
I don't know if this is going to be 'the' solution; though after being frustrated from working... wanting to dive into Tamriel, sword'a'swingin', I was met with this weird situation with the game simply not starting.

I would press 'Play'... wait... get a black screen... get jittery... and then bam... right back to Windows - no error, no log... or so I thought.

To help those out in later situations, if you open 'Windows Event Viewer' and go to 'Administrative Events' and under 'Source(in the event logs)' look for application error after you try to open it.

I was getting snagged on 'sl.pcl.dll' within the WIN64 folder - I simply deleted it, and it started up, no problem -hacking and slashing with pure excitement... until my headset died. Now I'm writing this!

I don't recommend deleting files without proper direction/updates from the company; though for those of you who wish to venture and attempt it, follow the directions above(to ensure it's the same file for you) and the WIN64 will be in the following directory --

(DIRECTORY)SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\Oblivion Remastered\OblivionRemastered\Binaries\Win64\OblivionRemastered-Win64-Shipping.exe
Faulting module path: Q:\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\Oblivion Remastered\Engine\Plugins\Marketplace\nvidia\DLSS\Streamline\Binaries\ThirdParty\Win64\

Good luck gamers!

Just a note to the above statement - if you're in the Event Viewer - you can keep that open while you start the game - after it crashes, just choose a different tab on the left, then go back to Administrative Events and it should be updated with the most recent crash information.

Yeah i had the same issue right after i bought the game and tried to fire it up the first time and used this same fix more or less.

Went to browse the game files and deep dove until i found that exact file. Now what I had heard was that you can either delete OR rename it. So because i feared not knowing what deleting that file would do in the long run or how much my game would need it I just added an uppercase L to the end of it to rename the file. Game fired up fine and i played for 3 hours without significant hitch.

Again, idk what that file is or why altering it seems to get you around that startup issue. But I'm real cautious as to whether this is an actual fix or whether the game will go back to freaking out at the 11th hour for me.

Have also heard from 2 people in another thread that the game went back to crashing at some point so idk. Could be related or it could be separate but the usual Bethesda launch bugs that need to get ironed out.

Thanks Darkside! I never thought about using an uppercase - I have the original file still so that will be my next go to(putting it back with your suggestion) if I see an error involving it occur! So far I've only gotten through the initial intro with no issues so I'll keep ya'll updated if I find similar issues!
I just started getting crasherrors of failed epic login :D Never had game on epic. Its steam 100%, wtf?

I have this EXACT problem except my address number is different on the last 2 digits. It just started today after I tried to boot it up after work. I am pretty unhappy about this. it is the weekend and I wanted to enjoy the game and all of a sudden it no longer works.

Do you have any mods installed? Access violation sounds like something else is bottle necking; though I don't know for sure just based off of that information!

Are you using Nexus mod manager, I found out that the plugin.txt it generates causes a crash on startup.
Thank you

Had the same issue after adding the game to my vortex account, even though I didn’t install mods, I removed the game from the vortex account and uninstalled and reinstalled game started working immediately

So this is also when my issue started, I had no mods either. I ended up fixing it by simply validating my files through steam and there was one bad one and it fixed it and now im good again

neither of the above worked for me I get the opening vid them when i press new game i get the second error I tried various fixes until game time approached 2 hours without getting past the start so I refunded I do not use nexus but still got kernal 32 ntdll error

I had the same issue after installing three mods using the Vortex manager. Doing a file integrity check in Steam fixed it.
Revalted 27 ABR a las 11:24
If you are using Vortex Mods Manager, it modifies the plugin.txt file just go to load order and reset the plugin file. that fixed it immediately for me
