Quest Broken Vows (Dark Brotherhood)

Im on this quest of the Dark Brotherhood questline , but the NPC I need to un-alive (assasinate) is not on his house nor outside and the game keeps telling me its on his house.

Someone else having this issue or how to fix it with console commands or what not?

Yeah i'm currently having the same issue and it's driving me insane. I've quit and restarted the game, and loaded different saves, i've tried waiting outside the house blah blah blah. Nothing is working.

It's actually in a hidden trap door under the cloths by the staircase

Look under the cloth. There should be a trap door into a basement. It's hard to see at first.
