Beware the Minimum Requirements
My game won't run as it says it requires 6 cores and my CPU (apparently) only has 4.

i5 2500k RTX3060 16G RAM

i5 2500 is quite old
Mine said that as well, but it runs anyway. Just slogs through at 20–40 FPS. :P

Unfortunately your CPU was below the minimum CPU listed on the store page. But it is still a warning for others to beware.

Some recourse you have without completely breaking the bank, is leaning into cloud gaming with a GeForce NOW account (about 10 USD a month for up to 100 hours) for supported games. Oblivion Remastered being among them. You'll still need it in your Steam library or PC GamePass however. (The latter if someone new coming up to the thread looking for options on PC.)

Your GPU is okay but that cpu belongs in the museum. Had that on my first ever PC build 13 years ago. Also I recommend at least 32gb ram in modern games.

You can always issue a refund until you get a cpu upgrade. Steam is nice that way.

I signed up with them the other day, and come to find out that the 10 USD plan doesn't work for this game. Need the 40 USD/ month plan.
People with the latest hardware can't run it smooth. No one meet minimum requirements anymore.
I have 4 cores on my I7 7700k, rtx 2080 system. Game runs smooth at 30fps on medium settings.

I'd like to run at ultra and 4k. Maybe someday when upgrade costs come down, if they ever do. In the meantime, having fun and enjoying the game.

It stutters on a 5090 9800x3d so yeah lol
I get the same nag banner regarding the number of cores. I have a 6th gen I7 running at 3.4ghz with an RTX 2080 and 32gb of ram, and my game plays great on medium settings across the board. It looks a little better than my modded Skyrim game, and it buffers very rarely, if ever.
anybody the same problem ? ...DirectX 12 is not supported on your system. Try running without the -dx12 or -d3d12 command line argument...
Well yes, read the minimum requirements before you buy a game, rookie stuff.
You should look for a better cpu. It makes no sense pairing it with a 3060.
Also 32gb ram seems ideal for this title.

They could probably also consider a motherboard refresh.

Had it been AM4 he would still be set with great options to this day.
