Female Characters Using Male Textures

I was testing out some of the races before leaving the sewers and noticed that the Breton fenale character has a noticeable 5 o'clock shadow if you have a light skin tone. Imperial female too IIRC. Are they using male face textures for them?

They've basically erased females from the game. They've just given some men higher voices and a bit of boob. One would think Bethesda would be capable of improving the character models from the original game from decades ago, but no, they're even worse with the remaster.

As a woman, this isn’t a little natural skin fuzz like Alloy had in the Horizon picture (which all humans do). They have 5 o clock shadows. It bothered me too, that’s how I found this thread! I’ve had little mustache hairs I had to pluck, but never a full gray 5 o clock look. I hope they patch it. My Breton looks strange in some lightings because of it. I messed around on the skin tone and makeup. Nothing fixed it 😭

I work on 3D characters for games and VFX. In all fairness to them, they probably reused some skin textures to keep file sizes down. But if your game is already 120GB, why not include a dedicated female skin texture instead of just modifying a male one?
