FATAL ERROR on Alchemy Potion Crafting.

Hello Everyone. I play on Gamepass. This is my second day playing Oblivion remastered. Yesterday everything worked fine for me. But today when I craft potions the game crashes and it reads: " Fatal Error UI crashed...." something like that along the line.

Do some of you have similiar issues or maybe a fix for that?

Congratulations, you have crafted a fatal error, destroyer of Tamriel.

In a serious note, I had this happen to me once however It didn't actually happen again so I can't really tell if it was a random game CTD or something to do with alchemy crafting related.

If you are still having this issue I would probably wait for a fix or report it to the support in the official bethesda support.

Would be nice to get this as a potion!

Unfortunatly this error happend twice in a row both when crafting a potion. I will reinstall the game and see if that fixes it, if not then I should not craft potions for now.

the subreddit did confirm that stealing alchemy ingredients and crafting them into potions results in this error currently and it is really easy to replicate unfortunately

Yes, another reason but again not the main, there are a lot of different scenarios, for me is randomly, probably I think that is more a graphical setting I Will try to check different configs and update

Yep, I get the Fatal Error every few rounds of potion-making. Stolen ingredients don’t seem to be relevant (at least to my crashes).

I think there’s something about the alchemy system itself that is causing the crash, because just accessing the menu and crafting nothing causes my PC to rev like crazy.

Known crashes caused by alchemy:

Crafting potions to fast --> slow down
Using stolen ingredients --> don't use stolen ingredients.

This are the two alchemy related crashes, eady to avoid both

In the meantime until they release a patch,(which they're aware of), try to slow down a bit while creating potions, that might help
