frostcrag spire bugged/broken?

When I get there the door is locked. There is no key so not sure what I am supposed to do. The fasttravel point isn't working either although the icon is on the map.

You go down the path towards Gnoll Mountain from Frostcrag and it will give the marker, for some reason its not at the castle itself but this off beaten path.

I'm having the same issue with the door being locked, I had this very thing happen with the dark brotherhood quest as well the abandoned house was locked, I had to go to one of the magic stores and buy a scroll/spell to unlock the doors

on the plus side it remains unlocked after you open it with a spell/pick the lock so at least it is just an annoying rather than game breaking bug.

for some reason the game just gave me the key and I had the fast travel unlocked when I spawned but when I walk up to the door I can't even interact with it.

I have the same issue, I get to the door and there's no interaction available

my issue is that I've read the book earlier than the quest suggested and now cant advance the quest

Same issue. I received the quest. Fast travel to the map marker, walk up to the door and no option to open it

update: went to Market disctrict and bought all the blueprints and the quest progressed.
(buy the upgrades for the Frostcrag Spire from Aurelinwae)
