So by default the setstage command is disabled (used for setting quests to certain states)
Just so you know this might break achievments for you
open console;
Altar.Cheat.AllowSetStage 1
setstage 0002D936 10
Should activate the beginning of the quest for you, cheers
I just ended up using the setstage command to finish the quest because it was still bugged
setstage 0002D936 100
I can confirm, going through the same issue. :V Quest just doesn't function at all, no wonder only 0.8% of players have the second achievement for the Mage's Guild.
Saved my save king, thank the Divine and the Nexus for console command w/ achievements mods
Worth noting that there's an UE5 crash bug at the end of "Through a nightmare, darkly" as well. Fun times.
it worked, thanks, but then when I go to talk to the dark elf, he won't tell me anything more, even with the use of the charm scroll.
