The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered

The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered

View Stats:
To those wanting to fix this game's putrid orange color filter in the overworld
https://www.nexusmods.com/oblivionremastered/mods/72

This reshade modpack restores and fixes many of the bad colors in the remaster and makes it look like Classic Oblivion's color(Which was far more realistic and far more magical looking). The dungeons and caves even look better & darker too. Night time also looks like night time again. Fixes all the eternal Sunset look the remaster is plagued with.

Its next to flawless and drastically improved the experience for me. All my friends are loving this reshade pack too. Impact to performance was basically 0 as well.

Edit1:
To get it working;

1.) Download Reshade, run the installer. https://reshade.me

2.) Select the Oblivion Remastered application

3.) Choose Direct X 10/11/12

4.) Uncheck and Re-Check all effects

6.) Finish Setup

5.) Download the mod from Nexus. (Manual download. Don't use their mod manager)

6.) Extract and drop the mod anywhere, or for cleanliness sake put it into your Oblivion Remastered directory (C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Oblivion Remastered)

7.) Press the Home Key in-game and find the Ayleid Reshade pack using the Reshade UI

Edit2 : Don't use nexus mod manager. It's unneeded and can cause problems. Just choose the download Manually option instead. After it's downloaded, Unzip the file.

Tell me how it goes! Honestly it makes the game pure magic again. I couldn't stop staring at scenery with the music after installing this mod. It felt like I was a kid again.

Instructions, since the mod description is bad:

Download the ini file. Place the file in Oblivion Remastered\OblivionRemastered\Binaries\Win64. Then download the newest version of Reshade anywhere. Use installer to install Reshade to OblivionRemastered-Win64-shipping.exe. Install only effects listed in .ini file. Then play the game, press home, done.
I've followed the steps to install and setup this mod exactly, but the game insta crashes before reshade even has time to compile.

This mod Causes fps drop and stutters, Happened to me on my 4070 super and a friend of mine on his 5080

Ok so reshade and this mod was not the problem. It seems nexus messes something up with the game files when you deploy mods with it. I had to verify integrity to get the game to work and got the shaders working. Tried deploying again with nothing else changed and insta crash again.

Don't use Nexus's system to deploy these mods. There's no reason to. Download the ini file without using their manager and install using the ReShade program by following the instructions above.

My old-ass 2060 Super isn't seeing any frame rate drops at all, running just fine.

I'm on a 3080TI with all settings max consistent 144 fps. Make sure you click Performance Mode at the bottom of the Shader's UI.

I'm still waiting for an Unreal Engine side mod that doesn't rely on reshade.

Give me access to the Materials, Volumetric fog light scattering variables, and the lightsource itself and we'll have PBR green without a filter over top of the screen.

But that's cool for those that do use reshade.

Why I need a mod to do what devs should have done - fix filter?
The orange filter didn't really bother me but this is the one I use as I like its looks.
