Did they revamp the controls?
The original Oblivion controls annoyed me. They felt extremely clunky.

Skyrim's controls were much more streamlined, and if they were to revamp the control scheme to match Skyrim, I would be a lot more interested in playing Oblivion.

controls seem to match skyrim pretty much to me. My only issue might be a controller issue where I have a hard time opening corpse inventories but I'm hearing from a friend that is just a me issue.

I didn't like that Y was jump and A was interact on my controller though so I shifted settings.
I should've said for KB/mouse, not gamepad.

Haven't played the original for a long time so can't really remember it but I'm not having any issues with the remaster.

You can rebind almost everything except the functions when on a menu. Like, on the inventory screen it's F or G to open full details about something. Map key bind opens and closes the map. Other menu key binds only open them and ESC closes them.

It's like.. button for attack, button for Block/Aim, button for spellcasting, button for crouch/stealth, button for jump, button for sprint, button to open radial menu with custom shortcuts that you can select with your mouse, each of those shortcut can have it's own key bind if you want. You have to select a spell and then press the cast button to use it. Interact key opens and closes containers/corpses. There's a loot all key bind. Have to mouse click to loot individual items.

Standard stuff really.
Controls have ton of hardcoded keybinds thanks to UE5 and lazy devs.
Tbh oblivon controls were better
