Doesn’t need mods.

only if you sell them. Free mods are not forbidden.
Read the whole EULA yourself, word for word. Parrotting someone else who hasn't bothered to read the whole thing is a bad look for someone trying to be a forum prophet.

Need, perhaps not, but it's a matter of personal preference. Putting that aside, why do they care what I do in a single player game?

The terms disagree.

Incorrect. 3D states "D. Use cheats, automation software (bots), hacks, mods, or any other unauthorized third-party software designed to modify the Game"
I can see this in a multiplayer competitive game, but single-player???
More than 70 mods on Nexus as we speak.
What are you talking about? Don't take what you read so literally. There are already dozens of mods, and they can be installed the same way as with any Bethesda GS game. There's no difference between this game and the others. Yes, there are no official tools yet, but that doesn't mean you can't create mods, much less use them.

The EULA states no such thing that applies to Oblivion
There are already mods...

When a team of commercial lawyers write up these documents they often articulate them as broadly as possible so that they are actionable in unforeseen scenarios. While the formulation is very direct and clear, that is not the same as them acting on it. Even tho the word mod is literally included, it's unlikely it's targeted at mods, rather being a 'just-in-case' kind of thing.

Consider that the game is being shown off by streamers even tho such usage is also expressly forbidden in the same paragraph is mods are. Consider that Oblivion is already up as a category on all the big mod-sites. Bethesda hasn't taken action yet. Until they do I don't think we need to worry.

I addressed this issue with a team of full-time modders whom I suspect will considering modding Oblivion once they've played through it. After looking into the issue not a one of them was worried.

You see, unlike Skyrim, Oblivion was already a good enough game on its own to not need mods. I played the OG for years on the Xbox 360 and never felt like I needed mods to improve the game in any way.

Generic all-in-one EULA that contains the limitations to their MMO.

It's not even in the EULA that applies to Oblivion.

It actually does, and more. But that doesn't necessarily mean they will utilize those clauses. Everything so far points to them not taking action.
