Skill Tree?
Is there none?

Like, the atributes/skills we are able to choose in the beginning is all, or is there more to it later on?

I get that skills will unlock a few abilities as they raise in rank, but is that really all?

(I have never played OG Oblivion)

No, Skill tree's neither exist in this or the original. All you get is skill level. Reaching certain skill levels like 25, 50, 75 100 makes you more effective and you may get a bonus or an ability, but thats it. This ain't skyrim.

I may sound like I'm not liking what I'm seeing. That's not the case, I'm just curios.

I didn't care about story too much in skyrim (or fallout 4), I usually just enjoyed skilling, crafting and combat.

Does this mean I wasted my money on this?

You can craft your own spells and potions in this game, including naming them. Combat is obviously a big part of the game as well. So, I dont think you've lost anything.

Okay, so if I do not play a mage, there is only alchemy and combat for me in this game?

What about upgrading/smithing gear?
