New Games? New Ideas? New Elder Scrolls?, nope, put on the backburner, why risk money on new - perhaps to fail - projects if investors can make a quick and safe buck with remasters because gamers buy the same ♥♥♥♥ over and over again, just slap an UE engine on it, sell it for 60-80, and call it a day. Original Oblivion was perfectly playable but gRaPhIcX.

The UE slop engine does not even allow for good modding

I ain't really bothered by this. None of the "AAA Studios" have released anything interesting in a long while. That leaves room for all the AA and Indie studios to actually release interesting things. And for a lower price.
If people want to pay for the nostalgia in a prettier package then it's their money, their choice. The rest of us won't bother or just "have a look" on Game Pass and move on.

I ain't buying this game. Not unless male or female option return. I got a huge backlog, and at this point. I don't care. I will hold my money hostage until Bethesda finally represent the "Male" and the "Female"

They did say that they are working on elder scrolls 6 in the oblivion reveal video. They had another studio do the remaster. Virtuos Games. it's also a step up from re re releasing skyrim.

hopefully Virtuos remasters Morrowind as well.

why would i want to play these poor remasters and remakes that does nothing but make the game look pretty? when i have Wayward Realms, Skyblivion, and Skywind... that doesnt force 2025 politics in my games.

Look, you can like or dislike Remasters. That's fine. But lying about what they are/do is just weird. This remaster clearly does more than "make the game look pretty", FFS.

I have no problem with remasters when:
- It is not a 1-2 years old game.
- It is not a lazy AI generated ♥♥♥♥, they put actual effort into it.
- They fixed the problems of the original game.
- They don't ruin the mod support.
- The price reflects it is a remaster and they don't try to sell it on a full price and milk money.

We'll put aside the fact that Bethesda outsourced production to another studio for now. Don't you all think modern games suck nowadays anyway? I say bring on the remakes. What I really want next is a remake of Mercenaries Playground of Destruction.

They already managed to sell us over 4 "different" versions of Skyrim. That ship has already sailed years ago. Tho compared to the Skyrim re-re-re-releases this one actually made sense.

i don't think you understand that Bethesda Softworks (the dev team) did not make this game, they are working on TES6.

This was made by a different company and so has no impact on the development of their next game
