Lets get technical!
So my first thoughts so far.

1. It's like they slipped the old oblivion bones into Ck2 and told UE5 to do the hard work.
2. Been seeing some people talking about memory leaks and stuttering with decent setups. (Which when asked about settings admittedly they are trying to run it at COD level performances.)
3. Combat and magic is still chunky clunky Skippy peanut butter. (I really feel like at minimum they could have upgraded it to at least act like skyrim.)
4. The rumor of no mods (I have had people actually reach out to me and swear up and down there will be no mods at all. As we can see in the nexus and other places like when starfield and Skyrim dropped it's a slow process.)
5. The graphics are nice, but the fact I re bought horse armor again and the price we're catching it for is killing me.

So moving away from list mode I will say this. Yes the game feels like a cash grab and stall for ES6 however, it touched a nostalgia bone in me that I won't complain hardcore about it.
From what I can tell about how it runs in general mods are very possible even without official support. I believe this is a great time for Bethesda and Microsoft to really rethink about their current market strategies. I love the OG story line and I like the upgrade on graphics, but lets be honest this is old assets upscaled and Frankenstein's monster of duo engine. They really, really should think about mod support.

My reasoning about the modding support is right now I see the comments from the general fandom. Certain aspects and changes to the game are getting extremely political and if ES6 ends up getting dragged into that flop there will probably be no saving Bethesda. I can't speak for all the fans, but personally I don't mind in game politics but I do play games of the fantasy variety to escape real world drama. And I feel like we are getting too dragged into debates that are pointless and counterproductive or add on to the fun of what games should be.

So far these are my fore thoughts on the oblivion remake, the nostalgia is nice the graphics are nice, more could of been done. Modding support in general is a good viable way to keep the elder scrolls alive and have always had synergy with keeping the lights on for Bethesda. Combat and magic should at least have been updated. But I will see what is to come in the future. I want to hear what everyone else thinks about the remaster.
