Canvas the Castle Bug?
I can't interact with the Painting, Paint on the carpet in the dinning area or the lectern. Help

You need to talk with all the witnesses and then the quest will say to gather the clues and it will work

After talking to all the suspects, and getting their info from the Clues option, you're able to pick up the physical clues

in addition, make sure to discover the trap door in the west tower and also the painting supplies in chanel's room, and the painting markings in the dining room
You also have to persuade her to admit her guilt by playing the mini game
