Constant crashes
Hello everyone. I really love the game, but it keeps crashing all the time. After I exited the sewers the problem started. I can´t play the game for more than 5 minutes, and I get crashes all the time.

The error I get is:
An Unreal process has crashed: UE-Oblivion Remastered
LoginId: some big code with numbers and letters
EpicAccountId:

My Specs:
AMD Ryzen 5 5500
16gb of ram
AMD Radeon RX 6700

I verified my files, the software is running in admin mode, all my drivers are up to date.

Thank you.

Same here, constant crashes when transitioning to different maps (e.g. interior to exterior), when fast traveling, and sometimes when loading a save file. This is on a Radeon RX 6650 XT (with the new optional driver) on the lowest settings with hardware RT off. I ended up getting a refund.
ive got the same card, same driver, same problem. way past the refund point now though

I had a crash so hard my PC reset it's self.

i9 14900kf
RTX 4090
64Gb DDR5 6200MHZ

My crash happened when I clicked on my second monitor while in game because the game does not save my graphics settings so defaults to full screen windowed.

Update: 4 hours without a single crash

I had crashes while opening two crates. Then i used experimental AMD driver, disabled steam overlay (and I don´t have one drive, uninstalled loong time ago). And it stopped. Fingers crossed it will last.

I love the people that hate me. I'm powered by hatred. It's the one thing that powers my dark mind.

But why are you so offended about a comment that is true? The original does run better and it is even obtainable without DRM for $5 dollars right now...but not for long!
Had a half dozen crashes in the first couple hours, but have had none since. I still occasionally have to Alt F4 on stuck loading screens though. This game needed another couple months to iron out the performance issues IMO. I've also had a bug where my character is constantly on fire (visually, not taking damage), only reloading an old save fixed it. Overall just a lot of annoying ♥♥♥♥ to deal with.
What worked for me was deleting Windows 11 DX shader cache under Disk Cleanup.

This also works with Windows 10.

**Guide

**Method 1: Using Disk Cleanup**
1. **Open Disk Cleanup**:
- Press `Win + S` and type **Disk Cleanup**.
- Click on **Disk Cleanup** from the search results.

2. **Select Drive**:
- Choose the drive where Windows is installed (usually `C:`) and click **OK**.

3. **Clean Up System Files**:
- Click **Clean up system files** and select the same drive (`C:`).
- Wait for the system to calculate the files that can be deleted.

4. **Select DirectX Shader Cache**:
- Scroll down and check the box for **DirectX Shader Cache**.
- You can also select other unnecessary files to delete.

5. **Delete Files**:
- Click **OK**, then **Delete Files** to confirm.
- Restart your computer for changes to take effect.

### **Method 2: Using Windows Settings**
1. **Open Settings**:
- Press `Win + I` to open **Windows Settings**.

2. **Go to Storage**:
- Navigate to **System > Storage**.

3. **Access Temporary Files**:
- Click on **Temporary files**.

4. **Select DirectX Shader Cache**:
- Find **DirectX Shader Cache** and check the box.

5. **Remove Files**:
- Click **Remove files** to delete the cache.

**Why Delete DirectX Shader Cache?**
- Helps resolve graphical glitches.
- Improves performance in games and applications.
- Frees up disk space.

Try disabling ray tracing. 99 percent of the time the "shader" low level crashing in UE 5 is related to raytracing or reflections.
UPD: It seems the last attempt to fix it was wrong. It seems game stopped crashing at inventory because I turned the map on and off in the beginning.:steamhappy:

Running as admin isn't a fix all.

This is a shader compiling issue with UE5 games.

Bethesda needs to work this out, patch it, and make sure their game runs on modern PCs.

Going to test this.

UPD: Lowered everything, disabled everything.

Still getting this same crash code.
