Constant crashes
Hello everyone. I really love the game, but it keeps crashing all the time. After I exited the sewers the problem started. I can´t play the game for more than 5 minutes, and I get crashes all the time.

The error I get is:
An Unreal process has crashed: UE-Oblivion Remastered
LoginId: some big code with numbers and letters
EpicAccountId:

GPU Crash dump Triggered

kernel32
ntdll

My Specs:
AMD Ryzen 5 5500
16gb of ram
AMD Radeon RX 6700

I verified my files, the software is running in admin mode, all my drivers are up to date.

Thank you.

thought it was just me lol im on 9700 XT also having that error and gpu driver crashing
Had the same issue and tried everything mentioned here and nothing worked until I disallowed steamoverplay and deactivated the cloud function. I had no crash for 30 min and before it was max 3 min.
Had the same measure turn off Ray tracing I've now had it working for a couple of hours with no crashes Max settings

Ah, the old turn off ray tracing. Literally mirroring Jedi Survivor :steamhappy:

Run as admin
The Elder Scrolls IV Oblivion Remastered\OblivionRemastered\Binaries\Win64\OblivionRemastered-Win64-Shipping.exe
Now 30min without crashin on inventory etc...
trying to run the game as admin gives me a fatal error on startup everytime until its turned off. dont even get to see the game it just immediately shows the crash window
Same for me, it worked fine for a while then I got the first crash when leaving the sewers, managed to load and pass that, then a few hours later when trying to enter another dungeon crashed again but this time none of my autosaves or quicksave work, crash as soon as they start loading. I only have the manual save right when exiting the sewers that still works...

I was going to troll, but really...

You probably have a permissions issue where the game is installed. You should try moving it out of PROGRAM FILES and elsewhere. Steam and its files (and games) shouldn't be installed there because default security settings force all applications that run there to run in user mode and restricted permission.

Antivirus programs also may interfere with programs running from PROGRAM FILES location.
Hi. I have a Ryzen 5 7600 + RX 7600 8GB + 32GB DDR5 6000 RAM. I had problems that the game gave me good frames but after a few minutes the VRAM is filled up, and the game started to decrease the performance. Until i had 10 fps, and after a little later the game crashed and the AMD Driver too. Seems like i found a solution for that, i deactivated the Resizable Bar in my bios. This solved my issue and i get a lot less frame drops too. I will continue test this later. If you have similar problem try this out. Good luck for everyone.

I managed to fix my game. It's not crashing when opening the menus anyway. First, update your AMD software to version 25.4.1. Second, go into the AMD software and under Gaming → Graphics → choose the Default option, and make sure everything is disabled. This should do the trick. Hope it helps.

This fixed my game. But I also disabled Steam Cloud and Steam Overlay for good measure.

Same here, constant crashes when transitioning to different maps (e.g. interior to exterior), when fast traveling, and sometimes when loading a save file. This is on a Radeon RX 6650 XT (with the new optional driver) on the lowest settings with hardware RT off. I ended up getting a refund.

I have the same issue, and many others on AMD hardware also do. Thinking very much of getting a refund as this is the ONLY game I have ever seen do this. And I don't trust Bethesda to fix it anytime soon.
They won't give it I tried twice and they refused because my time was over 2 hours.
I just received my refund despite having played for 2.9 hours. Maybe there's some wiggle room as long as you haven't played for too long. I also motivated my refund request by describing the severity of the problem, and explaining that a good chunk of the play time was troubleshooting and shader comp.

Update: 4 hours without a single crash
I have a 3090 ti founders edition and having constant crashes. Usually the game will crash absolutely randomly either 5 minutes into playing or an hour in. I will hear ear rape on the headset and the screen will either go black or my monitor will disconnect entirely from the PC, either way I have to hard reset the computer. The last few times the game crashed and shut down the whole PC, this even happened just opening the game to the main menu.

Extremely disappointed as I have been so excited to play. Any Nvidia users out here with any suggestions? All drivers are brand new, ran every diagnostic I can it seems like a software issue.

I was having a bunch of crashes too. Someone else suggested deleting the nvidia files in the game files, I did that, and played yesterday for 3 hours without it crashing.
The game version is 0.4...explains a lot.
