It butchers totally, Hope this is fixed with future updates
I put thousands of hours into the original, killed three xbox 360s with it, I love this remake so far.

what did they f up?
It is a lovingly crafted remaster/remake of the original.

Playing this will only make the original unplayable in the sense that the modernization and QOL features of the newer game will spoil you. It does not butcher the original in any way, as it is the same, only improved.
It's nice, and it fixes some of the gripes I had with the OG game. The leveling system for example.

Nothing.

Except some idiots complain about renaming "male" and "female" to "bodytype 1" and "bodytype 2".

They even added a nice sprint function, which was not present in the original.
Quite the enhancement.
I've wrote a mod for that back then:
https://www.nexusmods.com/oblivion/mods/49209
But it never really worked as good as I wanted. Then again, I am not consider myself a developer. :wellok:

The sprint function here seems to work marvelous. Even better than the sprint function in Skyrim as you are actually allowed to jump, while sprinting. :awkward:

this always bothers me a lot in games as well. the slowpoke mode.
So far 10/10 would create a Mr. Potato Head monster again.
Ok cheers. I'll pick it up soon. Never finished a elder scrolls game and starting with skyrim i always felt like missing out too much

Same here.
And as soon as speed and athletics both reached 100, you were always in a rush. XD

Also Skyrim required a DLL-plugin, to make it possible to JUMP, while sprinting.

The sprint function here allows that from the start. :D

the latest release of skyrim required this as well? thought the anniversary came to pc as well
Three hours in and the game plays great. I haven't seen anything they have changed for the worse.

I haven't played Anniversary yet.
But since the Anniversary contains all Creation Club contents, I assume there was a CC-mod that included jumping while sprinting?

For SE, this was required:
https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/18967

Skyrim wasn't ever my cup of tea as of the disimprovements compared to Oblivion.
It has nice visuals and better animation, but still it didn't spark like Oblivion did.
Despite I really hyped Skyrim, I just played through it once. XD

Afterwards I just messed around with mods and didn't really got into it anymore. :wellok:
