If it's during the game and it' the loading screen right before you exit the sewers, that's the shaders crashing you game.

Delete the Shader Cache. Goto:

C:\Users\<YourUserName>\AppData\Local\OblivionRemastered\Saved\

Delete - DerivedDataCache & ShaderCache & Intermediate

Then check integrity in steam and allow files to download.

Set the .exe to always run as admin.

Also, make sure overlays are turned off (Discord / Steam / Nvidia ) and ensure that ray-tracing and dx12 is disabled.

Report back with results, and the crash log after doing all of this.

Copy this. Ill give it a shot right now and see what happens. thanks for the suggestion
Report:

Deleting the cache helped a lot. However, it still crashed for me. I was able to briefly get out...but sadly it ended there. I know it runs on my 6gb card because i played through already with out issues and theres others playing on the same card playing in the open world posting videos as seen here. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TpBj5z_DlM0
Im guessing i may need to do some adjustments on my end. if i find a fix for it, ill post it.

hmm, maybe if you run not in 4k, but slightly lower resolution, 6gb really should be enough to run this. there might be an issue with nvidia drivers instead. you can try a prev version.
I'm having the same issue's my self. It's very annoying. I have a i9 14900k nvidia geforce 4080 super. It's crazy to me that this game is crashing me.

My specs are very close to yours. This should not be happening to you. Try my suggestion above.
I'll give it a shot and report back if it works
Well I can not find those shader cache's when I look them up as you wrote them I just got told they don't exist so that's strange.

Okay so the crash is caused by one of nvidia's .dll files that ship with the game.
Go to: Steam\steamapps\common\Oblivion Remastered\Engine\Plugins\Marketplace\nvidia\DLSS\Streamline\Binaries\ThirdParty\Win64

and delete or rename the file sl.pcl.dll

The game will start up normally then.

This worked for me and I can now play the game finally.
If you have your game installed outside of program files, itll be in a diiferent location. Mine was in (my steam location)> steamapps> shadercache> 2623190. I deleted the folder with those numbers as thats the oblivionremaster folder.

TheCarnifex you the man, deleting the .dll file did the trick. Cheers dude!
Same issue here. First time i got the error was after playing the game error-free for 60 hours.

14900k undervoly to 1.25v
128gb ram
Asus astral 5090 lc OC
Corsair HX1500i
