It's unfortunate that higher prices (if you can call $60 usd high) are seen as greedy in today's world. How are people supposed to engage in expensive projects if they can't charge proportionately? It would be a total loss every time you decided not to be "greedy". It's a fair price, and that's why it's charged as such.
They cleaned the code redid some VA lines because of previous agreements and contracts and learned how to work Gamebryo with UE5. Now that is impressive on some level I won't say there was not some impressive work done there. But realistically they should of cut the price down between 40-50 USD roughly 50-60 AUD.
Out of nostalgia I re-bought horse armor again....still feels the same it did the first time I did it back in the day slightly duped but got horse armor lmao
What would of made it slightly a little less jarring for me would of been a slightly reworked combat system....Truth is it literally is working on the OG's framework but with a cleaner code some expansions in the code better engine and visual handling...But still on the original framework
While some part of it was impressive this was an obvious cash grab from Microsoft, that bought bethesda some time for ES6. I am a sucker for for the ES 3 and 4 games so I won't complain to hard about it. My only real gripe is they could have improved the magic and combat systems to be a bit more modern and fluid....still has that chunky peanut butter flavoring, would have been nice with the new visuals.
I came here to discuss this. Just NO! They won't see my money. Still a lot of games to purchase and play, and there are other games I would rather play for this price than Oblivion.
Remember how Bethesda tried to implement a system where they would get 80% of the money for mods they don't own?
Remember when Bethesda lied and lied and lied and lied about so many things in Skyrim, Fallout etc.?
Remember the "game" Fallout 76? Or should I say tech demo?
Remember the canvas bag and Nuka Cola fiasco? Where they deliberately scammed their customers?
Remmeber Todd Howard? "SIXTEEN TIMES THE DETAIL!!1! It's a meme at this point.
Don't forget people! Remember!
They will NEVER get any money from me or my friends and I will continue to tell people to not buy stuff from this company.
And the audacity to charge almost full price for a game that is 20 years old... Small changes doesn't warrant such a high price tag.
