How does level scaling work?

Hey ive got a few questions about how the level scaling works. Ive heard it made the game awful to play in the old version but never played it long enough to suffer from it. IS it as bad in this game?

It probably is but the way you manipulate the godawful leveling system is that you choose skills you don't plan to use as major skills so you can choose yourself when to level up as it has a learn by doing system. So you can control the way leveling works if you meta game it.

Also curious about that. I loved the original, but replaying it was a pain because of level scaling. Hope it's been reworked or something.

Leveling system has changed a little, you don't need to level minor skills to min/max for 5 skill points.
Instead, on level up you can allocate up to 12 points
