Steam Version is vastly superior to the Game Pass Version
Tried the game pass version for a few hours and performance was atrociously bad regardless of settings and constantly was crashing. bought the game here on steam and transferred my save over and performance is much higher like 20+ fps higher always and has yet to crash since.

edit: another major thing that was fixed way the super laggy menus and my lows dropping to 0 fps when attempting to open them.

no most definitely is not lol. i can tell the difference between mid to high 30s and nearly 60 always and the fps counter confirmed it and crashing stopped entirely thus far.

Uh, huh. The only major difference is that you bought it on Steam for $50 while anyone on PC Gamepass or a trial for it just immediately downloaded the game.

Not disputing you, but why the f did you buy on steam after experiencing the performance and crashing issues with the gamepass version?

Logically you can refund on Steam really easily. So having the thought to at least test is not impossible. I haven't played the gamepass version, for all I know the guys right.

You may not be wrong. the game pass drm can screw with some games. Especially if you use AMD since it doesn't even know you are playing most games on game pass because of it so you get very few of your adrenaline settings to work. In my experience at least.

Other game pass games in the past were not identical to the paid game content wise. So, it is not impossible for there to be a difference. But, I am not well enough versed to know for sure.

I've had poor experiences with GP versions before plus my friend with worse hardware had a way better experience than what i was having with the GP version.

Also generally the steam version has better support for mods in the future and i think $50 is a somewhat fair price all things considered.

Performance won't change between steam and gamepass (unless you use the console version on gamepass and PC on steam)
Literally the same game.

There are small differences. The PC Game Pass version is somtimes wrapped in the Windows Xbox APPX packaging. That usually doesn't have much effect unless a developer did something wrong and is interacting with the UWP wrapper in the wrong way.

(Most times, it's just a desktop exe fire and forget through UWP.)
