Highway man god

I had to fight a highway man.
I could do basically 0 damage to him.
Only damage he seemed to incur was from poison and a large chunk from my summons(i dont regenerate mana so i fought him for 10 minutes without any till i found a mana spring)

What is going on? He killed a random guard in the wilderness, i tried to use his sword, no real damage form it.

You may have just been low level for that one.

Though this brings up a funny memory... when I didn't know what a highwayman was and ran up to talk in another game... oops.

I am a pure mage with like not much in the way of smashing things(with 0 mana regen).

I fought this guy and the guard who dieds horse for like 20 minutes. I just kind if accepted they would follow me at some poiint, found a mana fountain and had my summon eat through his health at a rate that made my sword hits look like i did 0 damage.

I ran into a highwayman on the bridge south of the imperial city that seemed much higher level than me. Ended up pulling him to the city and had a bunch of guards and NPCs kill him..dropped a nice silver axe.

I had the same problem, I just reloaded an earlier save and it fixed the problem
