How can I turn off volumetric fog?

Volumetric fog is everywhere, both indoors and outdoors, and the whole world turns gray.
Why is there fog even on a sunny day and in the house? It's simply not realistic.

I just went out specifically to look at it and realized that the problem with volumetric fog in the game is the display distance.
I saw gray fog on a mountain range a few kilometers away, whereas the in-game fog appeared 100 meters away.
The fog is so close that it causes the whole world to be gray.
