you cant
Without mods or console commands, you can't. Wished they added a few more quality of life changes...
There's a game mechanic that you can combine spells to really explore possibilities
Gotta learn every single spell possible
It's one of the things I loved and hated about this game, but I really enjoyed all the conjuration spells they added, you can summon just about every elemental, undead and daedra in the entire game, much more than you could in Skyrim.

You can't delete spells...which is dumb. Because at some point you have like a thousand spells, have fun scrolling through them all.
There were some OG Oblivion mods that let you do this. I think it's just a matter of time before they're ported over.

I realize this thread stopped yesterday, but I just wanted to follow up:

The lack of an ability to remove spells from your lists just means the lists will get cluttered, right? There's no *max* number of spells that can be in your lists, so it's not like you're going to run out of room, is that right?

Thanks.

No, you don't run out of room. The ability to delete spells was not available in the original, you needed mods for that.
Of course, a full mage would want all effects (or at least the majority), but after a while, with the better combinations, he would want to get rid of the clutter. Hopefully it gets patched in?

OK, thanks.

I did play through the original along with all DLC when it came out, but that was *so* long ago, that I forgot a lot of stuff, including whether you ran out of room with spells!
