We need 100% full controller support ASAP, please! (TY)
Bethesda games are best played with gamepad/controller.
As it stands currently the controller use is rock solid but it's missing a very crucial thing: Variable movement speed.

When exploring interior world spaces it's jarring to have all of two whole speeds to your movement. You either walk very slowly, or run at max. (not counting the new sprinting)
I don't know if Xbox port currently has this as an issue but I would very much like parity with them if they do not where I can comfortably control the speed of my movement better instead of having the controller joystick essentially emulating a keyboards movements.

To reiterate: Playing on MnK for bethesda games is serviceable but movement speed options being either slowest walk or fastest run just takes some of the immersion out of exploring. Controller makes the game more immersive and relaxing to play. I assume this remaster used the pc version as it's base due to the lack of full controller support which was always a problem with that version. I do not believe it would take them a considerable amount of resources to fix this problem and I would appreciate it if we could get some spotlight on this issue so the devs can address this.

Game is great, and there are so many new things to see and explore... only on the xbox port I really enjoyed exploring a lot more due to fluidity in movement not found in the pc base version. I appreciate anyone taking the time to read this, please support if you also believe this to be an issue!

I agree but well, its bethesda not sure they'll do anything
It all depends on how visible the support for fixing the issue becomes.

Will second this. It's pretty jarring. The normal run should be a jog and the sprint should be slightly faster than the normal run. Also need a 'hold to walk'.

So much loving attention went into this remaster... I don't know why stuff like this is overlooked.
??? I have been using a Xbox One controller for this game the entire time just fine.

When looking around it behaves really weirdly for whatever reason 😞
This. Absolutely would love to not go from walking to running. Controllers use both sticks to help with aiming, and when the speed changes so jarringly it throws off your aim and you have to compensate quickly and frustratingly with the right stick.
What controllers do you guys recommend for oblivion remastered? I lost my Xbox 360 controller (for pc) years ago.
these issues are not present on real xbox one controllers.

what knockoff 0-100 controller did you buy?
The Analog Controller Speed mod is available on the Nexus if you don't mind modding your game. I have been using it without any problems with an XBOX One controller.

I have an actual Elite 2.0 controller. The game does NOT have full analogue support for movement and the fact you can't see that means you're either not playing on a controller or you're completely oblivious. You have TWO speeds. Only TWO. It's a real problem everyone faces on gamepad.

I'm aware of this since posting this thread and it's the best thing we have for now. Still looking forward to one less mod being required, cheers regardless.

I completely agree. You can't sneak in this game. The slightest of tilt of your analog stick makes you walk briskly. It was way better in OG. I think it's the games biggest flaw.

Even on PS5 it's like this. Big sad

I am kinda shocked to see people denying this problems existence. How many different paces can you walk (so no sprint) with a controller? I only have 2 paces. Ever so slight tilt is half speed and full tilt is full speed.

tbf i was confused, the way the comments and even the OPs post reads like they're talking about only two speeds, walk then run and for me that looked like they were saying they were only able to walk, and SPRINT.

i was confused because you guys keep saying "two speeds" and i thought you were saying you could only walk and sprint.

stop saying only two speeds you're confusing people lmao.

it's three speeds, and yes it's not the same as the original where you could snail crawl and i do want that back.
