Steam Saves Gone? Problem Solve!

Tried posting this on reddit but some reason it kept getting removed so here I am. Just trying to help others in my situation. Anyway.....

Hey everyone I know some of you guys were having saves disappearing into the gates of Oblivion themselves so here is a possible solution for y'all.

So I was looking up saves gone missing on google and reddit and someone mentioned that the saves might be going to the wrong location. Did some digging and found that the path for the save was indeed messed up.

The file that needs to edited "remotedcache.vdf"

Go to "C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\userdata\125621220 (this will differ as this is the account ID) \2623190 (this should be the game ID) \remotecache.vdf"

Once you are there edit the line "My Games/Oblivion Remastered/Saved/SaveGames/saves_meta.sav" by simply removing "saves.meta.sav"

It seems the path will restore itself by adding back "save.meta.sav" but the saves should stay and you can continue to load them. Tested this a few times and it seems to be working properly now. I really hope this helps even a few people because this was killing my experience. I still have to start over but my saves will be there finally.
