I have had zero issues and I'm on a 3080.

Are you playing on 4k and have ray tracing turned up as high as it goes? Just curious. I have a 3080ti now too.

It could be his settings and what res he is playing at.

i don't i just let it auto detect and it puts everything to high with ray tracing and all those other settings shut off. No 4k either

WOW. Thats bad that its running that way then. I figured you were doing 4k with ray tracing up real high.
Are you playing on 3440x1440? Thats what I use.

nahh 1920x1080. I don't get why i'm getting these frame drops i thought DLSS would help but it actually runs worse with it on.

Nope. 1440p with everything on high settings, but instead of going with DLSS because it sucks in this game I'm using the AMD variant of it.

Maybe your CPU is bottle necking your GPU?
It is the Nvidia software body type 1's and body type 2's!

I have a notebook RTX 2070. Even menu was stuttered a lot and it was unplayable. I rolled back to the 572.83 and now I play on ultra settings without a problem.

Do you know how I’d stop it from doing that?

Notice how there are practically no threads talking about performance? That is how you know this is a you problem. So adjust your settings down in the appropriate areas and if that doesn't do it, you have something amiss.

Well, that happens if the CPU isnt as fast/powerful as your GPU. The CPU can actually hold back the performance of your GPU. THeres not much you can do other than use a different CPU with it I think. Some games are more "CPU intensive" than others.

This website allows you to compare the hardware you have. There are others you can use too of course.

Nice anedoctal evidence. Plenty of threads about it actually and I'm also having performance issues.
