Cheydinhal Recommendation quest issue

I'm playing as a Nord and am on the Cheydinhal recommendation quest for the mages guild. when I go into the well my character cannot swim through the door inside the well. Anyone have a good fix without console commands?

had the same issue. use movetoqt and then use it again to get out. Be aware you will no longer get achievements tho.

that's what I'm trying to avoid. I'd like to keep achievements on if I can. not really sure how else to fix this

I feel ya; I tried everything I could think of and that was legit the only way until they or if they patch it. There are a few other instances when swimming where this happens again for people that picked taller races. It's almost like no one play tested major story quests using every race.

I had the ring. Taller races legit cannot get through the door, it's not tall enough. It's not drowning it's a physical barrier.

yeah they'll have to patch it out hopefully, i caved and just used console commands... no achievements for me

Ran into the same issue lads. I just saved my game, exited to the main menu re-loaded and then i just went straight through no problems. Now I might have just gotten lucky, however hopefully this works for you guys aswell.

I have the same problem, I can't swim though at all. Feels like a wall is restricting.

Quick Save/Quick load fixes a lot of problems

worked for me after quitting the game completely and reloading

hopped on today and loaded a previous save to try it again and it works now..

Quitting to desktop and relaunching fixed it for me.

Same for me as Orc, I took off my armor before quitting, not sure it mattered.

I just encountered this issue.
I quit the game went back in and it worked.
