This question is being ignored in existing posts, hence this new discussion. Will the game run on a GTX 1070? Minimum requirements state 1070 Ti, but the game doesn't force ray tracing, so hopefully it will run on standard 1070s?

Even though the game can be refunded, I don't want to unnecessarily invest time downloading something i can't play (slow internet).

UE5 Stalker 2 ran fine on the GTX 1070, I just need to know if the game will even start if it's not the Ti.

Thanks. As stated, I don't mind it running poorly, I just don't want the game to not even start at all, as is the case with Indiana Jones which requires a ray-tracing capable card.

There's a video on youtube of someone running it on an 8gb 1070gtx. It looks okay at 1080p, but probably about time for you to look to update the card. Wait for the prices to drop first tho.

My 1080 gets about 30-40 fps at 3440

1070ti will get somewhere around 30-60 fps on medium/high with XESS set to Quality on 1920x1080.

Can't really tell you what a normal 1070 will do, however I personally get a pop up when launching the game about being one CPU core and about 4 GB of RAM short of running it - luckily it still lets you launch it (Unlike the Indiana Jones game requiring RTX hardware).

Edit; As for the lack of RAM/CPU core error - It's hardly noticeable gameplay wise. There's some stuttering that I assume is maybe CPU related but honestly it's not nearly as bad as I would have thought with the way the error is presented.
