edit: Going to main menu and completely reloading the save fixed it
I can't fulfill my expert assassin / stealth ranger / master thief playstyle without my full chameleon! Come on Bethesda!
There are already mods on Nexus just taken from the normal oblivion and put into the remaster and they worked. Besides there are already more than 200 mods for the game on that site. So mods are definitely possible with this one.
I really dont understand why we dont turn completely invisible with 100% chameleon anymore. Sure it maybe is weird to never see the character and that is different from all other games, but hey we love oblivion for being different.
I recall 100% to be absolutely eneough. and you were completely vanished for everybody including you as the player.
In the remaster 100% functions in the same way, no one ever sees you except you talk to them but I, the player can still see my character. thats my issue with it. purely cosmetic.
So far in 100% of cases I've found that dropping a quicksave + quickload will fix it.
Thats a different Issue with the chameleon.
When i equip 100% chameleon with armor pieces, and then unequip them i still stay invisible. if i quicsave then and reload my character is still invisble but the weapon, ring and my hair all of the sudden are visible. the rest stays cloaked forever.
Yeah, I think it's because of the Unreal Engine instead of fully playing on the creation engine. Something is different with it. Over 100% chameleon used to turn you completely invisible and that's just not how it works anymore. Along side with the bug of where the invisibility remains even after you remove the gear until you reload your save, has been pretty annoying. I hope it's just a bug and they can fix it.
Weird. Are you sure you don't accidentally still have a piece of the gear on? This is how I do it.. You have to take the gear off BEFORE you reload.
1. Equip Cham. gear to turn invisible.
2. Do whatever I need to do.
3. Unequip cham gear and put on regular gear so that I have no cham active. (Still invisible at this point).
4. F5 + F9 to reload.
5. Chameleon is gone.
When I do that all that is visible is my hair and my weapons....
Yeah, I don't know, man. It works for me if I do it this way.
