What difficulty should I play this on?

I am leaning towards expert for a slightly harder experience, but what are your thoughts? Peace.

Just go with adept, the scaling is ♥♥♥♥♥♥. I started on expert and you do basically no damage to anything even more so if it has armor. After cheesing my way threw the tutorial I decided to try killing the bandits across the river killed the archer just fine, the one with the warhammer took off half my health with one or 2 swings while I did maybe 1/30 damage per swing with my sword(I build almost entirely for blade) during the chase I wandered by a mud crab which took the remaining half health of the bandit in three to four hits. After that I lowered the difficulty and went into the ruins where I killed just about everyone in 3 to 4 hits.

You can change anytime so don´t worry about it, but personally so far I am going with expert for the time being. A few hours in and I don´t have the HP and armor to tank much yet so I have to utilize summons, heals and running around a bit, it´s quite fun.
Using touch range magic, heavy armor and block.

The hardest diff seems like a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ of one hit kills and impossible to win situations unless you cheese in the beginning and I don´t think I would have the patience for it.
Might up it later once I get stats high enough to start rolling everything.

Same as back in the day, expert is way too hard in the beginning and too easy later.

Oblivion is pure ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ in terms of difficulty. The only thing uping the difficulty will do is increase enemy health. Sponge-tastic ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ and that is it.

hopefully the fixed the issue with late game enemies always having shields and blocking ALL OF THE TIME. the game was never that difficult, but fights would go on forever because 7 guys with top tier shields would take 10 minutes to kill without cheesing them with poisions.

I would love to play on expert or harder but the scaling is crazy. On adept enemies die to quick and do no damage and on expert I deal no damage and die to quick.
