Saw some negative reviews mentioning active anti-cheat in the EULA for Oblivion which is a Single-player experience..

Besides the obvious "why even?"-- does that mean there's no way to play it offline?

I’m not even sure why they put it in an entirely offline game… probably something to do with that garbage creation club store to add more micro transactions

The EULA is a general catch-all for all Zenimax games, including MMOs.

The sections regarding the online use restrictions (such fiddling with the invasive anti-cheat) also state it's only for when the services are present. The services are not present in this game.

The entire context of the whole section is important, but people like to skip around and pick out specific things outside of the legal context just to try to prove they're smarter than the Microsoft lawyers.

it doesn't state in the section about anti cheat and modding that its exclusive to online use?
