32 GB of RAM?
I've never seen a requirement as high from any current AAA title. Why does the recommended system need that much RAM?

32gb is the standard now. MS Flight Sim needs 64gb...
its 2025
It's good to have at least twice as much ram as the consoles

RAM is one of the cheapest components. Really a non-issue compared to the rest of the hardware requirements.
A better question is why don't you have 32gb of ram?
it just shows that the game is unoptimized garbage. you can blame their use of UE5 for it.
it's Unreal Engine 5 what do you expect.
its not a requirement, its the recommend ram for max settings, you can use less then 32gb of ram.

why is it bigger? probably because its streaming more assets in and out. newer consoles have been relying on streaming assets in and out faster to be impressive
They expect you to have it since the game is unoptimized pippin hot trash
32gb isn't a "requirement" per se, it's the recommend for those who want to max out all bells and whistles. In that context, it's extremely common now. Look at kingdom come 2's recommended spec. Heck, even 32gb is starting to be wanting for everything maxed out in AAA and 64GB is becoming more mainstream.

Devs have long forgotten how to optimize their games.

I agree that they are becoming more lazy about optimization but I don't think 32gb as the recommended for max settings is extreme.

Seriously happy with myself for going with sixty four five years ago with my current build. At the time folks looked at me as being eccentric for going with so much back then, but I knew it would eventually prove its worth.

there are zero, zilch, nada reasons for this kind of game to require 32 gigs of ram
