Why are all races the same height for the main character?
I created my high elf character and noticed that he is the same height as all humans. But he is a head shorter than other high elves. I did not find a height parameter in the character editor

I just noticed this as well.

High Elf NPCS are taller than my Altmer and switching to Bosmer doesn't change your height.

Lore height was missed?

Its because they use the Models from Elder Scrolls Online.
They all have the Same Body and only different faces

okay this is really a shame, loved the difference in height

Found this annoying as well. You can do player.setscale to like 1.09 and you'll match other Altmer. So it'll look like player.setscale 1.09 or whatever you want. ~ key to open console.

Using the setscale command is indeed a good idea. But the problem here is that using console commands will disable the achievements(
Why does biological height even matter?, a person can identify as whatever height they want, if anything they should add heights Type A and Type B

Just found out if you get on a horse and then off, your Altmer character should reset to the proper Altmer height.
yeah, skyrim :D

seriously though it's such a nice touched when the NPCs races all have different heights and sizes. also helps you identify them at long range which can be helpful

In the old games speed was also tied to actor height a high elf with 100 speed and 100 athletics would run faster than for example a wood elf with 100 speed and 100 athletics. This was also the case in the 3d fallouts sunny smiles in the new vegas tutorial being an example. Her shorter model makes her run slower and makes it easier for the player to keep up with her. Unsure if this was carried over into the games or not but would explain why they'd normalize the heights if so.

I noticed as well but you can change your size with player.setscale in the console menu. I think 1 is default but you could probably be safe within the 0.95-1.05 range

Theis makes me think maybe it was a bug

I hope this is a bug and they fix it(player character's growth, not action with the horse). Because now my Altmer looks very strange. Especially when he communicates with other Altmers.
I'm not sure if this applies to the remaster but I got this off of AI overview:

In Oblivion, racial heights are generally based on a scale, with some races being noticeably taller or shorter than others. Here's a breakdown:
Taller:
Nords, Orcs, Altmer (High Elves) are the tallest races, with Nords and Orcs being 1.06 and Altmer being 1.08.
Shorter:
Bosmer (Wood Elves) and Khajiit are among the shortest, with Bosmer males being 0.9 and Khajiit females being 0.95.
Medium:
Imperials, Bretons, and Dunmer (Dark Elves) are around the average height, with all three being 1.0.
Other:
Argonians are 1.03 for males and 1.0 for females. Redguards are 1.03 for males and 1.0 for females, according to Reddit.

So if you were Altmer you could type player.setscale 1.08 in the console

More like 1.1 for Altmer. As far as I know, that's their standard height in Oblivion.
But this is a bad solution, because firstly it disables achievements.
Secondly, you will have to re-enter command every time you start the game.
I hope the developers change this in a patch or at least someone will release a mod with a player height fix.

There is an achievement mod. They said it is unmoddable but I already see over a 100 mods so I'm sure people will continue fixing things with mods
