I wonder if theres an issue with AMD cpus bc the game is running perfect for me and feels great to play. I could probably crank it a bit higher and maintain about 80-90 fps all the time.

FPS-rate is not the problem for me - but it stutters as soon as i am in the open world...
i have that with other games too...
Hogwarts Legacy, Flintlock, now Oblivion Remaster...

But other games like Cyberpunk 2077, Red Dead Redemption 2, Doom:Eternal, etc. run buttery smooth - even with highest settings.

Something about these UE5-games just doesn't work well with my system.
Maybe it's just shader- and traversal-stutters - and i am sensitiv to even small hiccups...

But again:
within the sewers everything was fine...
but stepping outside and the whole game stutters like gears that run without machine-oil

pretty much this it feels totaly off outside
Runs fine indoors - but starts to stutter like garbage when i go outside and walk through the open world! :( i even tried to lower Settings from High to LOW - and still it stutters!

Unplayable for me!

Disappointed!

5090 & 9800X3D so yeah big system. Game runs like 60-80 fps with DLAA at 3440x1440 everything cranked. Not gonna use that so use dlss quality and frame gen, now I’m at 167 with reflex on my 175 hz monitor but turning the camera I get micro stutters. Walking around the world, microstutters like tits. UE5 strikes again, ♥♥♥♥ looks so good but plays and feels like absolute dog ♥♥♥♥♥

Running it on 3440 ultra wide, NVIDIA 5070, I9-14th gen, DDR5 48 gigs, and I get 110-120 FPS out in the world. I have yet to see it drop under 100 fps. No stuttering issues for me either with 6 hours in
Well it’s probably optimized pretty well, the problem is the engine. UE 5 is notoriously hard on systems to run. Anybody running anything less than a top of the line system is gonna have to reduce settings to maintain above 60 fps. I have a 4070 and an i7 12700k and with settings at medium and dlss on balanced I’m getting high 60s to low 80s. If I bump it up to high it will stay above 60 most of the time with drops down to low 50s high 40s. That’s unplayable for me so medium it is. It sucks but I’d rather play the game with higher framerate than better graphics.
Just don't turn at all when you're out in the open world and the frames won't drop.

On a 2070S potato it will still run. Us 5080 owners are having a field day.

I've got everything on high, RTX on high and frame gen on "quality" and i'm getting 150-170fps. Without framegen its under 100 easily. If i turn everything to ultra, it's about 80-100fps.

I have the same card, but a 5800x3d, Aside from the CPU difference, I had to go on High graphics and put DLSS on balance to get 60-80 FPS, however, FG just does not work no matter what I do.

In the sewers it was buttery smooth with Preset High, DLSS Quality
(no Hardware RT and no FrameGen!)

Once i stepped outside it became a stuttery mess...!
I couldn't even turn around without heavy stutters...

Now i'm down to Preset Medium with DLSS Balanced -
and still it has stutters!

I am convinced, that patches and fixes and even a new GameReady-Driver will help smooth the edges of the game... but again it's UE5 that seems to be the reason!

Really disappointed!

Otherwise it's a substantial upgrade from OG TES4:Oblivion and feels pretty well and thought through...

Going through the same thing too. It is a super laggy game that stutters once you are out of the sewers. I don't want to request a refund because I think they did a good job remaking Oblivion so far. Hopefully if the Developers can see these comments, I will gladly send them my PC Specifications.

Just play the original.
If you want to crank the settings up to get the most out of this remaster, you’ll need a 40 series gpu with framegen and upscaling. Shocker, another game that relies on this stupid technology instead of optimizing the game.
I'm getting 40 FPS outside the sewer on a 4090 at 1440p LOL. With frame gen on I get roughly 80. On the lowest settings without frame gen, I'm getting about 60. It's terrible.

Okay okay, updated driver, and rebooted, FG works now, now hitting 120+. As far as lower tier or previous gen cards, this game does need optimization. Cannot be another Todd Howard stating to upgrade your PC like Starfield. This game should run better overall. FG is not a solution.

I crashed twice and had 3 weird visual bugs.
I knew the moment i left the sewers the performance was gonna go to crap, and oh boy it became a stutter mess at 50-60fps, and the unreal engine slop graphics are disgusting as usual.
I can't speak for everyone, but for me, it runs pretty good. Running a 4070 super. 3440x1440 (ultrawide). Most settings high or maxed, no ray tracing. DLSS on quality. Shadows on medium. I don't know, maybe it's placebo....but I find that it's the shadows that causes micro stutters if I put it higher.
Getting about 90ish outdoors, 120+ indoors.

It is literally not optimized. I've said it a number of times now so im gonna shorten it.

60 FPS in dungeons (the tutorial areas) with mid-high settings.
30-40 FPS in the open world with those same settings.
30-45 FPS with everything set to LOW.
17-20 FPS when you're in combat with the 2 bandits across the river.

3060 12gb.
Bro, they want you on 720p medium graphics for best experience
