The thing is, if this had been made fully in UE it would not function properly (obviously) and that is why its just a graphical update.
If you wanna compare it to Skyblivion.

No problem.
Have a good day.
I still think the TES world has great lore and characters and is still better than many similar games.
Even the Souls series is starting to get casualized now with pvp focused stuff like Nightreign and Duskbloods. It happens to every major series.
Well just it was a casualization (that is a downfall for me, as they killed the PC centric aRPG in favour of a console centric Action Adventure)
I agree that the lore is great and Obvliion is not a bad game, its decent for what it wants to be.. but again.. I wanted more complex aRPG´s and thus I become less interested in the IP-
Dragon Age is a similar example, it started out as a PC centric cRPG, then changed after 1 game to a console centric Action Adventure.
Many of the bigger studios/publishers and corporation that own both in masse... don´t think cRPG´s could sell to the mainstream, hence why they dumbed down everything and made it console centric.
BG3 showcased that is not true.
But you will see Microsoft focus on console.. that is their focus after all (Again Bethesda only exist in name now, its just another studio in the Xbox Game Studios division)
Souls have always been casual.. yes I said it.. its a casual console centric time sequenced action adventure..
They removed half the RPG mechanics in Oblivion and casualized the things that they keept.. they are two opposite games in many way.... Not just in terms of agency, but also the features.
Skyrim further casualized the series, but did much better overall due to the exploration (it basically hit home with casual mainstream, but was fun enough for people that normally buy something more complex, as the lore was still great)
Overall.. This remaster is still just Oblivion in all but updated graphics.
Some people are obviously angry about the body type thingy.. but that is such a minor thing.. but its not just PC gamers, console gamers seems to dislike it as well.
Here is an example.

I don´t really agree with the person, but it gives you an idea about the logic about people and why the forum is spammed with that, rather than the debate about if Oblivion is a good game or not..... due to gameplay.
Indeed it did.
But it was created with PC in mind and thus a PC centric game.
That is the entire point here after all.
