My character turns to like 10 feet tall in first person mode
When I switch to first person, my charactes point of view looks like Im about 10 feet tall, I tower over all doors and clip through every ceiling. Loading an older save doesn't fix it.

same issue
Wow you don't say.. A Bethesda game on a completely different engine, but using the same jank code is just as buggy? :D

And now you can't even mod it to fix the problems. GG
Just enjoy the Unreal Engine 5 slop.

Teach me! I want to play as a giant, too!
Same Issue here,
just save in 3rd person, restard and and then manually load the file (not continue) and it should be fine.

I've only had it happen once and exited and restarted the game and it was fine,

(edit to add this will disable achievements if you save after console commands unless you use a mod to turn them back on.)
they are going to fix this in a patch. until then you can try
~player.setscale 1

this should set you to the same size as all the npc's. note i don't have this bug so i can't confirm this solution, but i have confirmed the console command still works. if it doesn't change anything try
~player.setscale .8

or other decimals .5 would make half the size of other characters in normal operation.

to Linfried try numbers above one like
~player.setscale 1.2

may need to try different numbers to get what you want. 2 would make you double the size of other characters.
also from my testing large values seem to be limited with how high you can actually go. you can be pretty gargantuan, but ridiculous numbers won't do what you'd expect.

Restarting the game fixed it for me.

There are over 1100 mods now available for the game, and changing player height is definitely one I've seen.

There are 2 mods currently on the Nexus to fix player height issues. Tons of other mods already too, so that "no modding" thing is going well.
had to save in third person, fully exit game and then load in from the "load" option rather than reload and that fixed it for me. hope this helps :^)

Just kidding, now i cant open any of my saves lol

Hmm well that is the advice Bethesda is giving apparently. If it messes up your saves not loading it is a bigger issue then being reported.

Proofs that engine is the cause of this issue?
