just save in 3rd person, restard and and then manually load the file (not continue) and it should be fine.
they are going to fix this in a patch. until then you can try
~player.setscale 1
this should set you to the same size as all the npc's. note i don't have this bug so i can't confirm this solution, but i have confirmed the console command still works. if it doesn't change anything try
~player.setscale .8
or other decimals .5 would make half the size of other characters in normal operation.
to Linfried try numbers above one like
~player.setscale 1.2
may need to try different numbers to get what you want. 2 would make you double the size of other characters.
also from my testing large values seem to be limited with how high you can actually go. you can be pretty gargantuan, but ridiculous numbers won't do what you'd expect.

Hmm well that is the advice Bethesda is giving apparently. If it messes up your saves not loading it is a bigger issue then being reported.
