Bugged quest The Battle for Castle Kvatch

The quest got bugged when we reached the courtyard, Savlian Matius is only standing there along the other guardmsne, I already tried waiting, sleeping, I even got inside the castle and cleared every enemy, he is just standing there, talking to him he only drops one line about charging the courtyard and leaving no one standing.

The NPC's wont follow you but if you go in and obtain the ring from the Count you can go back and continue with the quest!

If you don't want to use console commands, just bring him back the Kvatch Lord's ring and the quest will continue.

Moustik is correct, getting the count's ring fixes that and you can proceed as normal. That quest was buggy for the original version too

Just a quick q - how did you kill all those flaming goons before the courtyard?

I open the gates and Salian and co. Enter, only to get completely wiped out.

I’m a spellsword and playing on Adept.

Go inside the castle alone, kill the goblins and retrieve the counts ring.
