$50 for this is insane. selling the DLC seperate with a few new cosmetics is insulting.
i would have got this at $30-$40 all in. did not even occur to me that they would want $60 for a remaster. unbelievable cash grab. yet another disappointment. guess it gos on the "wait for sale" list, im so sick of this industry and its greed.

The original DLC is included in the base game.

The 'Deluxe' version gives you some ♥♥♥♥♥♥ fetch quests to give you overleveled items early in the game and a digital artbook.

why is it insane. Game was built from scratch. Its $50 not $60. You don't get something for nothing.

It's $60 for the full game, it was not built from scratch it's a remaster not a remake, no one said it should cost nothing. If you think a remaster is worth $60 I can't help you and you clearly have no respect for money or your self.

There should be no pay walled content on a remaster of a old game, at the end of the day you are paying for the updated game.
Cosmetics and mini quests as well !
But vote with wallet, I voted and I am letting Todd hug me tight !
Gamers see Oblivion and instant buy because of nostalgia.
I expect Microsoft to make remakes of just about anything Bethesda have made.. maybe even Wheres Waldo.

I think its a shame for Skyblivion.. and kinda a slap from Microsoft to that project.
It's more than a remaster, but not quite a remake. It's actually a brilliant solution to update one of Bethesda's old extremely buggy games. They've combined the original Creation Engine with UE5 to update the graphics and animations to modern standards. It took years to make this and nobody works for free. It's worth the price if you liked the original game which is actually a much better game than Skyrim.

You are right bro, I'm just getting sick of being disappointed and let down by these game launches. You hear all the good stuff and get really hopeful "there's no way they can mess this up" I tell myself because it's just updating an old game but they still ruin it with insane prices and terrible proformance. Just sick of this greedy game industry.
Charging for horse armor again..
Proves Bethesda has learned nothing...

the paywalled content is new content, for some new "skins". I just didn't buy it. Crazy, I know.

skyblivion is doing it's own thing, and they can both exist separate of each other.
ya here its 66.68 lol. So i am waiting for ever until its super discounted. You can try the oblivion mod coming out soon. Its a remake of oblivion but fan made. I Would give that a try and once you are done with that you can come back to this game... or dont. its just a remastered/remake here so its not like you have to play this one. I am a patient gamer though and try not be to hop on hype trains or stuff like that as its not like you are going to die from not playing this one game. Usually games dont change your life either (they shouldn't anyways). But you do you.

I am still waiting for boulders gate to go down in price lol.

There is no paywall. All of the content is in the base version. The deluxe adds new armors and weapons that didn't exist before, plus the soundtrack and art book. $10 is pretty standard for a soundtrack on Steam so everything else in the deluxe is basically free bonus. If you just want to play the game get the standard version it has all the content.

If you watched the stream they remade 100% of the visual assets from the ground up and recorded new dialog. This isn't a lazy ai upscale remaster.

When the Horse Armor first came out, it was a very loudly and negatively criticized cash grab.
Now it's become an in-joke. See, back when Oblivion was current, whenever the DLC would get a discount... Horse Armor's price would actually go up.
Idea being, they're making fun of themselves.

That the horse armor is being offered with some other stuff that's relatively unimportant (just like the horse armor) and is a completely optional thing just feels like them continuing the joke.
