[SOLVED] - Can't select 2560x1440p
I'm running a Samsung G9 display with a native resolution of: 5120x1440p.
I am not able to select anything but 1080p or less in the options in the main menu, not in windowed, borderless or fullscreen.

Anyone seen the same? I'm a little blank on this currently.
I'll try forcing a display image via the game files and update the post if I find a solution.

EDIT:

Found a solution, forcing the GameUserSettings.ini config files seem to have worked.

Simply, go to: C:\Users\%username%\Documents\My Games\Oblivion Remastered\Saved\Config\Windows

Locate the file called "GameUserSettings.ini" and edit the following to this for a 2560x1440p image.

DesiredScreenWidth=2560
DesiredScreenHeight=1440
LastUserConfirmedDesiredScreenWidth=2560
LastUserConfirmedDesiredScreenHeight=1440

Specs:
Ryzen 7 7800X3D
AMD RX 9070XT
32GB RAM
Installed on SSD
Windows 11

have the same problem, with the same monitor

Same problem. If I set to my second standard monitor I can pick all the correct 1440p options but on the ultrawide I am locked to 1080p no matter what.

I can force it, but I have to unplug my second monitor, or it starts halfway on there, and it only works as long as I don't touch the settings, as those still show the max 1080p resolution. Also, it resets the GameUserSettings.ini after launching the game. So it works, but not an ideal solution.

Here's the real solution.
This didn't have an effect for me. Do I have to do something "lock in" those settings?

Make sure to save the file settings before closing it and opening the game.

This worked perfectly for me, thank you.
I'm using Nvidia surround at 7800x1440, this method worked perfect for getting the game running at 2560x1440.
I first needed to set the game to windowed mode then close the game. Then make the change to the ini file and relaunch the game.
Now to relive my teen years in cyrodiil.

Unfortunately none of this works for the Gamepass version. The game continually resets to 1080p on launch no matter whether display is set to full screen, borderless, or windowed.

I had the same just now, but I changed a lot more values. Before you do this make sure to make a copy of the file (Ctrl+C, Ctrl+V).
ResolutionSizeX=2560 ResolutionSizeY=1440 LastUserConfirmedResolutionSizeX=2560 LastUserConfirmedResolutionSizeY=1440
(centers the window)
WindowPosX=1280 WindowPosY=0
(sets the mode to windowed)
FullscreenMode=2 LastConfirmedFullscreenMode=2 PreferredFullscreenMode=2
DesiredScreenWidth=2560 DesiredScreenHeight=1440 LastUserConfirmedDesiredScreenWidth=2560 LastUserConfirmedDesiredScreenHeight=1440 LastRecommendedScreenWidth=2560.000000 LastRecommendedScreenHeight=1440.000000

having the opposite, i run my monitors at 1080p because my little RX6600XT can't run most games at 1440p stable, but when i select fullscreen because i don't want my mouse to go to other monitor, it just continually resizes until i set back to borderless or windowed, and when in full screen it tries to force itself to 1440p, ohh also when i open settings in borderless it moves the game to my secondary window!
I can't find that GameUserSettings.ini file anywhere on my PC. I have this game installed via Steam.

This worked for me but i had to disable cloud saves temporarily for the config folder to show up. Thank you!
