Did health regen in the original?
No right? I don't remember the tutorial having such low dmg enemies either.

I think mana regenerated, just very slowly right?

Wondering if difficulty fixes this?
fairly sure health did not regen unless you used a spell or potion in the original
Thats what I remember, hopefully a mod or devs will release a patch to give an option to turn it off.

Health did not regenerate naturally in the original. Magicka regened based on your willpower stat, but generally wasn't very fast. This is more like Skyrim than Oblivion in that regard.
Really should have an option to turn it off :/

Health had regen under 20% iirc. I recall many a time running out of doorways and waiting on the bar to stop flashing.
Tutorial was the only place you could have your health regen, would be kinda silly if you died in the tutorial because you didn't eat or drink a potion :P

Mana yes, health no I think. Or very slowly ? I used to top it of with spells or random food. The whole "stop mid fight to eat a bunch of apple and a whole cheese" was already a thing then.
Morrowind didn't regen either.
I know it didn't - as on my last run I explicitly made some armor to regen health as I was at 100 Restoration and was sick and tired of spamming heal spells when I went around closing every one of the Oblivion Gates (god that took forever... even with TCL on half the time :kodama:)

You could get regen going though via blessings I believe - like if you hit Kynareth's shrine whenever in town, I know those blessings last a LONG time.

Health regen is a little too much. The game is incredibly easy as it is.
Yeah im thinking of turning up the difficulty because the hp regen is so intrusive. I remember now hp spell spamming to get restoration up and what not
No and I can't wait for a mod to change it and hopefully one to revert to the OG leveling system as well because there's no level cap with how they have it now since all skill level you up now. I much preferred how your stats on level up were determined by what skills you leveled up it made it aich better RPG because of it. Now they had to water it down so the neanderthal could understand that strength=more carry and bigger muscles for sword swings.
Turned it to Expert, definitely much harder... mostly good. Also it did decrease the hp regen rate, by quite a bit.

I think its enough to make me happy.

No, it did not. (was playing the original on my xbox to refresh myself).

Original leveling system was incredibly counterintuitive and heavily incentivized min-maxing. It was changed for good reason.
